MeFOTO GlobeTrotter

Had a pretty sweet gift under the tree this AM. Wife and kids got me the MeFOTO carbon fiber GlobeTrotter tripod (in black). Looking forward to trying it out. Will be parting ways with some of my aluminum tripods for sure!

Nice prezzie Tracy.
Haven't had my camera out for a while, few family shots, but not much else since dph closed.

I don't use my Canon as much anymore. Pretty much use the Fujifilm X100T just about all the time. I usually take out the Canon when I get hired for a portrait shoot or something. It is always with me. That camera is a joy to use and has outstanding image quality. My oldest decided not to do basketball this year (and it was a huge surprise to us). She is focusing on her studies as she was picked and is now a member of National Honor Society for her academic achievements. Because I am not doing any sports, I no longer need the auto-focus the 5D Mark III provides, I am considering going all in on the Fujifilm X system. Holding out a bit longer for the lens lineup to mature and to see what the next model offers. Waiting for the X-Pro2 or possibly the next XE-3 variation. The X-T1 was very temping after using one.

That's saying something Tracy...
Always took you as a Canon dlsr man...
I must admit the most I've used my 5200 lately is at our local cricket matches...

Hey .. even the old humble tripod has gone high tech.

I love my Canon. Menu system is awesome... How the camera feels in the hands, awesome. Fujifilm's X-Trans sensor, though... WOW! APS-C gets more details than my Canon full frame. Nikon's use Sony sensors that capture great amounts of detail too.

Oh, and the tri-pod... LOVE IT!
