Login issue #2

Post by Admin on Sat Sep 08, 2012 5:44 pm

Hi Smile
Have managed to cure some, if not all problems with IE9.
Why bother, you ask.
Simple.
There could be a move towards Windows mobile phones.
What with iOS vs Andriod dragging on & on.
Add to this the arrival of Windows 8.
So just keeping bases covered.

For some reason this caused problems with the login on every page.
Hence have slightly modified/updated version, which is now showing.... Shocked

Update due to continuing problems have reverted back to main menu only.

Will try further avenues later.....

It looks like you got in Dave.

I think this is something that Zeb is still working on.

Hi Smile
For some unknown reason this started playing up.
So I installed the updated version.
This doesn't appear to work at all.
Hoping to fix this soon.

Can have the box.
However I feel this (even when set at minimum).
Is obtrusive.

I had a few instances where the log in box wouldn't show up so I just click on "view unanswered posts" and the log in box & password box show up. Very Happy

Hi Smile
All sorted..... ( I believe ).
The login (top right hand corner) should only be visible when logged out.

Click on that & you should get a pop-up.
Similar to this.

N.B. It is worth noting that this will keep you on the current page being viewed.
As opposed to taking you to the "Home" page.

P.S. Have kept "Login" button in menu.
Just in case this doesn't work with your browser (IE).... affraid

Hi Smile
Just to inform you.
Browsers that work.
Google Chrome & Comodo Dragon .
Comodo Dragon is actually a a Chrome based browser.
I prefer this as it appears a tad more secure.

Hi Smile
This is a feature that 4hams requested.
http://www.friendsofudvdr.com/t95-2-fold-suggestion
Though the old one stopped working in "All" pages, for some unknown reason.
It also used to take you "Home", rather than keeping you on same page.
So a fix/upgrade all in one..... thumbs-up
