AFL Round 19

Post by Alby on Thu Aug 09, 2012 3:44 pm

Sorry for not getting this out Monday morning.
Sanshoe.... your boys are just rolling along beautifully. A 20-odd point win over Carlton. Down side is the odd injury to key players. Jude Bolton Great player and a nice bloke might be out for a few games.

The Cats and Hawks had the game of the season last Friday night. Commentators were saying "if you want an avertisement for AFL... watch this game ! We got away to a fantastic 1st quarter,. Almost 10 goal lead. The Hawks came back big time in the 2nd quarter to be only a couple of goals behind. 3rd and final quarters was a dog fight to the very end. with only 30 seconds of play left, the Cats got a fast break out from defence finishing up with beautiful pass from Joel Selwood (captain) right on the chest of Tom Hawkins. At this stage we were 4 points behind. The siren went as Tom was running in from a 'set shot'. He kicked the ball from nearly 60 metres out and it sailed through almost two thirds goal post height .... for a goal!!! (6points). Cats win by 2 points.
Swans are still on top with our Geelong Cats sitting nicely in 6th position.

Thanks Tracy.
We've got a hard task tonight.
West Coast Eagles over in Perth.
Lost 3 players to injury and they have a couple of good players back. They're above us only by percentage. A win will take us up to 5th posi.
Andrews boys play Collingwood in Sydney. Should win but the Magpies could easily pull something out of their rear-end and take the game.

Mate... In all honesty...
Sydney is the team to beat this year.

And if the Cats don't make it to the dance, I'll be bangin' for the Swanys !!
I can't stand the other teams in the four.
